About this workshop

This class series will teach how to run a design studio and how to structure creativity. You will create lo-fi paper prototypes, critique and collaborate on your design. Finally you will learn how to use the popular interactive wire framing tool, Axure.

Get an overview on how to generate ideas, as a team, and converge towards one design solution. You'll learn when and how to use each technique with plenty of hands-on prototyping exercises over one full-day.

This class will be useful for designers, devs, UX practitioners, product teams and startup founders - anyone who needs a structure to generate ideas for a digital product and a prototype ready for user testing.

First part of the day:

  • Goal directed design; a simple framework to structure your ideas.
  • Learning how to run a rapid design studio with your colleagues.
  • Testing your designs quickly with a low cost method.

Second part of the day:

  • Axure intensive: interactive prototypes for desktop and mobile.
  • Using your prototype during a formal usability test.
  • Documenting and communicating your design effectively.
