About this event
In the big picture this is an issue that impacts the community as a whole but more specifically its impact on the family. There is a growing rift between the community and law enforcement and if we don't figure out a way to address and resolve it, to see the humanity within how will we move forward as a community, as a society.
A short film that attempts to personalize the issue of violence enacted by law enforcement against the black community by focusing on the family.
This event aims to:
To view a short film that explores an important issue effecting the community.
To generate a conversation about violence in the community and the importance of acknowledging the issue in order to address and resolve it.
To not only discuss the issue but to inspire all sides to see the people being most directly effected as people, as families and not just threats.
