About this workshop

In this workshop you will learn to define usability and form an understanding about how human measurement should be used in order to verify that the outcomes of a design process lead to improvements, rather than just changes. We’ll investigate when to use which methods, how to write a test plan, and how to conduct a user testing session.

You will be able to write your own test plan and then will be given guided practice in moderating a user test session with a partner.

Prereqs & Preparation

  • Define usability and explain how it is different from user experience
  • Ability to articulate different methods for user testing and know when to use each one
  • Moderate a user testing session and ask questions without bias while guiding users to perform a task
