About this event

Meet designers and developers who've honed their skills in General Assembly's UX Design and Web Development Immersive program.

Hiring managers, recruiters, and HR personnel are welcome. You will have the opportunity to connect with designers who:

  • Take a human-centered approach to design, including conducting user research, user interviewing, contextual inquiry, and participatory design
  • Create and communicate solutions to business problems that meet customer goals
  • Express design ideas through site maps, user flows, and wireframes
  • Use grid thinking, typography and color theory to create visually comprehensive layouts
  • Create and conduct usability tests on clickable prototypes
  • Generate useful design documentation, such as case studies and specs, to communicate and collaborate with other team members

You'll meet web developers who:

• Completed the full-stack web development program focused on common best practices in object-oriented programming, MVC frameworks, data modeling, and test-driven development
• Developed a portfolio of individually focused and collaboratively focused projects
• Gained proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Angular and jQuery

General Assembly does not collect a commission for hiring our graduates and never will. Food and refreshments will be provided!

About Our Students

Our graduates are made up of a group of proactive, creative, collaborative, and motivated individuals ready to make a difference in their next position. While our graduates all display a common set of skills and competencies, they each bring their own backgrounds and interests to their work. Our students come from fields as diverse as product management, engineering, non-profit management, law, science, finance, and more.

The event is structured as a reverse job fair. Graduates will be stationed at tables, showcasing their individual and team projects. Employers are free to engage each graduate at their discretion. All attendees will receive a GA grad profiles brochure in advance, to make the experience more targeted. You can also contact virginia@ga.co to target who you'd like to speak to in advance.
