About this workshop

Learn advanced Sketch features and plugins to create responsive UI components and designs within Sketch.

This workshop builds on the knowledge and skills taught in the Sketch for UX class.

To start, we will go over several advanced features of Sketch, such as shared styles, symbols, and resizing rules. Through in-class exercises, we will practice using these features to create reusable UI components.

Next we will walk through Anima App’s Autolayout plugin, one of the most powerful tools for creating responsive, cross-platform designs within Sketch. Participants will take the UI components created in the first part of class to build a responsive design using Autolayout.

Prereqs & Preparation

•Participants will need Sketch (www.sketchapp.com) installed on their laptop.
•Participants should be familiar with fundamental Sketch concepts and tools, such as artboards, shapes, layers, text, and styling.
•Participants should have experience designing user interfaces with Sketch.
•Participants will need the Sketch Autolayout plugin downloaded and installed.
