Are you in the process of building a web site or an app and are intimidated with Illustrator? Are you transitioning into web design and need high-fidelity tools to build mockups? Have you heard of Sketch recently and want to know what the fuss is all about? Bohemian Coding’s Sketch has been been picking up steam in the design community and is already in use by many fortune 500 companies. In this hands-on workshop you’ll be learning from a couple of practitioners who will walk you thru this award winning yet approachable software. We will start with orientation of the software itself, and end with a few complex techniques. This is not a lecture. Bring along any questions you may have and we'll explore them together.
Working, intro-level knowledge of Sketch for use in a range of web or interface projects.
If you are already a wizard graphic designer you’ll leave with the ability to transition from other tools, e.g Illustrator, Inkscape, CorelDRAW, etc. But this workshop is geared towards vector novices.
Mac laptop (Sketch is a Mac only software). Pen, paper, and markers for note/sketches maybe helpful. Some experience or familiarity with image or vector editing tools may come in handy.
