About This Event

The job search--exciting and promising, but also nerve wracking and daunting. Although the feat of going through the job search can seem intimidating, the way in which you approach it, through the right resources and techniques, can help make it a more smooth and welcoming process.

Join us for a special hiring edition of “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” Hear from some experienced recruiters as they share their best and worst interview moments to date and the tips they have on how to breeze through the job search process.

Why It Matters?

Whether it’s updating a resume, drafting a cover letter, or submitting an application, looking for a new job is a process that takes time, research, and effort in order to be considered by recruiters and hiring managers today. Knowing where to start, what to say, and how to go about each step are important skills to have.

This workshop aims to disclose ‘“good, bad, and ugly” moments from real-life examples and how to learn from them, or avoid them completely.

What You’ll Take Away?

  • Where to start in the job search process and which websites and job boards are the best to use.
  • Tips on resume format, length, and content.
  • Application advice and how to follow up after submission.
  • Gain insight on what questions recruiters may be looking for and how to craft the right answers.
