Betul rejoined The Adecco Group as country manager for Singapore in 2020. She leads a leadership team and is directly responsible for country operations, that work towards reinventing workforce solutions for a resilient economy, as well as create a talent platform to address the ever-changing landscape of skills shortage and transformation. She is an advocate of diversity and inclusion. Her leadership team comprises of almost an even split of genders, consisting of multiple cultures and nationalities.
Betul’s journey with The Adecco Group dates back to 2003 when she joined as a Branch Manager. with Adecco Turkey Throughout her 13 years with Adecco, Betul’s roles included - Branch Manager, Area Manager, Sales and Marketing Director, Operations Director and Managing Director for Permanent Placement. In her last role, she was in-charge of overall country operations and leading a solid team that carried Adecco Turkey to market leader. Through the commitment and detail-oriented attitude she projected in each of the respective roles, Betul proved her professionalism and competencies as a business leader. Her main interests and skills are in human resources, talent management, HQ consulting and performance management. She recently completed AMP at Harvard Business School and is a Harvard Alumnus.
Betul believes as individuals, all of us have a role to play in the global push for sustainability. She does her part by opting for personal eco-bags, use reusable cups for takeaways, recycle her coffee pods and prefers to enjoy natural breeze instead of relying on the air conditioner. She is married with two lovely children, a 17 years old son and a 9 years old daughter. During her free time, Betul enjoys an aromatic cup of coffee, baking and tennis.
Dr John Fong is the VP & COO (APAC) for General Assembly. He is a seasoned C-suite leader with extensive international experience having lived and worked in Sydney, Dubai, Miami and Singapore.
Kate Neilson is a Content Lead at Sydney-based content, communications and custom publishing agency, Mahlab. As part of this role, she edits the magazine and online news site of the Australian HR Institute. She is passionate about all things future of work and loves getting to dive into these topics with industry experts.
Tashi Dorjee is the Head of Flex for Australia and New Zealand at JLL. His role is focused on partnering with commercial real estate landlords to design, build and operate their own tenant focused flexible work space(s).
As the former CEO and Co-founder of TwoSpace (an Aussie startup launched with Optus Yes Lab that transformed hotels and restaurants into a network of flexible co-working spaces), his team connected over 10,000 users in Australasia through on-site wifi check-in technology and an engaging online community platform.
Tashi was a former Director of Carbon Conservation (CC): the first company to use carbon finance to conserve tropical rainforests. CC was subject of the documentary film "The Burning Season" narrated by Hugh Jackman.
Tashi holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia.
