About this event

General Assembly welcomes companies to meet graduates of both our Data Science and Software Engineering Immersive Programs. Our graduates of both immersive courses will be on hand to show off their projects, and are available to chat about job opportunities (plus GA does not charge any placement fees).

About Our Students

While our graduates all display a common set of skills and competencies, they each bring their own backgrounds and interests to their work.

Meet 22 Software Engineers who:

• Have a technical skillset that includes JavaScript, Rails, APIs, and the ability to learn new languages, libraries and frameworks.
• Have the confidence and skills necessary to complete a web-based project according to given requirements
• Be able to present their work, articulate approaches and solutions to problems, and explain any ideas for future features in a clear, concise manner

Meet 12 Data Scientists who:

• Have a technical skillset that includes Python, SQL, Tableau, Git/Github, Jupyter Notebook, and Matplotlib.
• Have the ability to analyse, make sense of, convey data-driven facts from massive data sets, and predict what happens next through predictive modeling and pattern recognition.

Format

The event is structured as a reverse job fair. Graduates will be stationed at tables, showcasing their individual and team projects. Graduates are looking for paid employment or apprenticeship roles, and many are open to either/both.
