About this class

Storyboards are a natural, visual way to organize and communicate a customer’s journey before, during, and after they use your product. Creating a storyboard that shows how your customers will use your product is a powerful and effective way to approach product design.

In this class, you’ll be introduced to the concept of “Hollywood Style” storyboarding, as applied to product development. By using battle-tested frameworks to break down customer problems and potential solutions, you’ll gain appreciation for thinking through problems with a “customer first” lens and learn to leverage the power of personas to further define and refine your concepts.

Takeaways

  • Understand storyboarding for product development with battle tested frameworks.
    • Practice creating, using, and interweaving personas into customer-centric narratives.
    • Become familiar with popular techniques and tools for creating and sharing storyboards.
    • Learn to elicit feedback on storyboards and use them as Minimum Viable Products.

Prereqs & Preparation

Students should come to class with a product idea they’d like to pitch.
