About This Workshop

The wellbeing of our employees, students, clients, instructors, and guests is our number one priority here at General Assembly. We are monitoring the Coronavirus situation very carefully and will be adjusting delivery of our programs.

Due to the current health concerns in the greater Los Angeles area, all GA short-form (one day) classes, workshops and bootcamps as of Monday, March 16 will temporarily be held online - including this one.

Registered students will be notified 48 hours in advance of this program with information on how to log in to the Zoom Meeting Room and Slack messaging apps. Registration for this class will close 2 hours prior to class start in order to allow all students ample opportunity to have the technology enabled.

Please contact la@ga.co if you have any questions or concerns.

Whether your current job requires you to pitch or present in front of clients, co-workers, venture capitalists, interviewers, or cameras, this workshop will help you improve your performance by teaching you how to use your body to deliver your presentation in a natural and convincing way. In this condensed version of our Public Speaking Bootcamp, this workshop focuses on body language coaching to learn how to exploit the potential of your natural movements to demonstrate confidence and improve your posture and gaze with in depth lecture, communication games, and time at the end to practice.

"I recently took Lizzy’s Communication Series at General Assembly and couldn’t say more positive things about it and her. Liz was a brilliant teacher, giving us great advice and encouragement. I can already see a difference in my professional and personal communication skills through the implementation of my newfound knowledge and skills. I would recommend Liz to anyone – both those comfortable with public speaking and those that are not – everyone can learn something." -Maria Grosso

"I took the Communication Series class from Lizzy at General Assembly and it was fantastic! I loved her method of teaching. She is very passionate about helping her students/clients achieve their goals. I had so much fun that I did not even realize how much I had learned. Time flies when you are having fun and that is exactly what I felt at the end of the series. I will definitely be back for more classes!"- Madhavi Marka

This class is part of a series! To round out your knowledge of public speaking, check out the other classes available through General Assembly (also taught by Lizzy Wallace). More information here.
