About This Workshop

If you’re eager to become a social media based change-maker then this workshop is for you. We'll take a look at recent social media efforts, online art and socially activated movements that have helped to shine light on social justice issues and spark change. We’ll dissect and discuss the elements that helped to increase shareability, and garner virality so that you too, can use social platforms to advocate for good.

This workshop is for:

  • Anyone looking to use social media to help become a community change makers
  • Digital marketers wanting to build communities online
  • Community managers who want to use social media for social advocacy

Preparation

  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
  • This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
  • Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
  • Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket.

Brittany Dandy is an established digital marketer, helping growing business owners and corporate giants like Google, tell mindful and profitable stories. As an experienced B2C marketer, Brittany has worked across multiple marketing disciplines, in both corporate and non-profit sectors, using storytelling as her core skill to build and execute thoughtful global campaigns with notable impact.

The proud HBCU graduate, honed her talents in journalism and marketing while working with a host of respected brands such as MTV News.com, Black Enterprise Magazine, CBS, EBONY, BET, and The New York Academy of Sciences to name a few.

Recently named Masthead Media’s 2019 Mentorship Honoree, a large part of Brittany personal, and professional endeavors revolve heavily around women's professional development, female entrepreneurship, and women’s wellness.

Offline, you can find her brunching around Brooklyn with her husband, enjoying NYC's live music scene, or squeezing in a good workout.
