React & Redux - Intro to React pt. 2 | Online

This is the second meetup in our “Intro to React” series. Thank you to all who came to the first Intro to React meetup, it was a major success with over 116 people!

Much thanks to Disney for helping sponsor this meetup! The folks from Disney will briefly be presenting on career opportunities at Disney for developers and also be around to answer any questions you might have. If you've wanted to work at Disney, this is your chance to network and meet some great people!

This time around, we'll talk more in depth about React, and give you not one but TWO different demos -- and also introduce Redux, a state managing framework for React that will make your applications even more manageable / scalable. Featuring guest speakers: @Vijay, organizer of JavaScriptLA and @Chadd, CEO of Cachemunk.

We'll serve pizza and beer, and we'll also have a raffle with new prizes to be given away, so you definitely want to make sure you register via the link with General Assembly to be included. So definitely come out -- it will be a fun night to learn something new and useful in just a few hours— and you get a free dinner!

Parking:

There are two paid lots. The lot adjacent to the building is $10/day or $5 after 4pm. The lot across the street is $9/day or $5 after 4pm. Both lots take credit cards. There is also metered street parking in the area, which is free after 6pm. The building is also near the Blue Line train (LATCC stop) and bus stop (40/45/745).

After checking in with the security desk in the lobby, take the elevator up to the 11th floor, turn right and follow the hallway around the corner to Suite 1109.
