The thought of speaking in front of an audience can throw normally calm and confident people into a frenzy. In this workshop, participants will get expert coaching and feedback on ways to strengthen their public speaking skills, from techniques to ease frayed nerves to exercises designed to build confidence and improve focus.
We'll the workshop with improvisational games designed to build self-confidence and sharpen listening skills before tackling specific public speaking challenges in breakout groups. By the end of the workshop, all participants will have the tools necessary to become powerful communicators, and will feel more confident speaking in front of groups of all sizes.
The best parking structure to use is at 350 E. 2nd Street. It is directly next door (to the right) of our building. The cost is $2.00/15 min ($10 max), $5.00 flat rate after 4pm.
Gold line stop in Little Tokyo is a 5 minute walk to campus. Red line stop at Grand Park and Civic Center is about 10-15 minute walk.
Students should be ready to move around and chat
