About This Workshop

Are you being asked to lead a project and not sure what to do to keep it on track? Wondering how to build estimates for when something can get done? Not sure how to create a plan when things change constantly?

In this bootcamp, you’ll learn how to lead project teams to deliver projects with speed and quality at scale. Many growing organizations have come to recognize the need for project managers in the wake of expanding operations and project teams. It’s not uncommon for designers, developers, product managers, and entrepreneurs to find themselves cast in the role of project manager, even if many of these job responsibilities fall well outside of their job description.

The bootcamp will consist of workshop instruction and hands on exercises to learn how to take a project from inception to launch, covering skills and techniques to lead project initiation and planning, set and manage project schedules, assemble and lead strong teams, identify and manage risks and dependencies, and communicate effectively on progress. We will also explore the major project management tools in the marketplace.

You’ll gain the tools that you need to deliver great results!

Takeaways

  • Proven techniques for leading project teams and driving accountability on deliverables
  • Overview of popular traditional (PMI) and agile project management methodologies
  • How to build out project milestones, estimates, and schedules
  • How to assess dependencies and risks, anticipating and mitigating problems
  • How to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and the project team

Preparation

Come with one project you are currently working on, have worked on recently, or will work on in the near future to use in class during the hands on exercises!

Workshop content is ideal for individuals interested in exploring a career in project management, those who lead projects as part of their role, or current scrum masters, project managers, program managers, or delivery managers looking to continue to build their skillset.
