About This Event

Is the tech industry calling your name but you don’t have (or want!) technical skills and don’t know where you could fit with the skills you do have?

We got you. When you think of the tech industry you likely picture software engineers and product folks, but there is a vast world of non-technical roles waiting for people with your skillset. Transferable skills are transferable for a reason after all. Hospitality, healthcare, customer service, retail, education, and the list goes on, make for some of THE BEST tech industry employees.

Join WorkWell coaches, Whitney and Lucy, for a workshop on the cold hard facts about what it takes to break into tech and have you examine the skills you can leverage RIGHT NOW to make moves in 2020. They’ve coached 800+ people into high paying tech jobs and know exactly what it takes to land both technical and non-technical roles at a company you are actually excited about!

Preparation

  • You will need access to a laptop, computer or phone as well as a strong internet connection. Please make sure to download the Zoom app to ensure there are no connectivity issues.

  • Registrants will receive the Zoom link via email, in the confirmation email and in the 24-hour reminder email from General Assembly.

She has coached 800+ people into high paying jobs they are excited about and knows that believing in and enjoying your work leads to a better life. While delivering the essentials of career advice, all of her coaching incorporates perspective shifting so that you are empowered to create the life you truly want.

Lucy has had experience coaching 800+ people to land jobs in tech in Silicon Valley. She co-founded WorkWell because she believes in the gifts and competence that women and the black/brown community have to positively impact tech. Lucy is an integral Life Coach and has worked at Apple creating trainings for their teams in respect to Empathy, cultivating a culture of feedback and many other areas vital to building and sustaining an inclusive culture where everyone belongs.
