About this class

Working in tech is stressful. Ever feel like if you have to answer one more email, you’re gonna pop? Google’s Chief Happiness Officer Chade-Meng Tan says that in just five, 10 minute sessions of meditation people can measurably alter their brain functioning and respond better to stress and be more creative and empathetic. But how should you meditate? Use apps like Headspace or Calm? Go to yoga? Or just . . . sit there?

Adam Braus a General Assembly Instructor and 7 year PM, entrepreneur, and software dev has been a practicing meditation since he was a teenager and has recently begun his lay ministry training at the San Francisco Zen Center. In this workshop Adam will focus on explaining the value of meditation, and will make time to answer any and all questions participants have about mindfulness, meditation, or Buddhism. This workshop will be "hands-on” and participants will get to try out three major techniques of meditation that can be done at home, before sleep, and in the office
