About this event

Products do not sell themselves. By examining the history of one of the nation's leading clothing manufacturers as an example of successful marketing over time, Gregory Van Zuyen will present an in-depth analysis of what companies must do to garner customer interest and brand loyalty for their products. Through illustrative examples of how language, symbols, and graphics etch a lasting awareness in the minds of consumers, this presentation will reveal the tools and tactics successful companies and designers are using to put their enterprises on top and how these tactics are shifting in the growing realms of social media and online marketing.

About the Instructor: Gregory Van Zuyen has worked for thirteen years as creative director for Language Magazine as well as a former creative director of Animation Magazine and other publications. He has also taught graphic arts for 16 years for UCLA Extension and Santa Monica College..
