About this workshop

General Assembly is again partnering with The Young Hackers, to organize an awesome hackathon in NYC - a 12 hour mini-hackathon, bringing together the local hacker community to celebrate building technology!

Simultaneously around the world, other students will be hosting their own Local Hack Days, resulting in the largest single day of student hacking ever. Throughout the day there will be livestreams, workshops, and fun activities to meet students in the local community and to learn the basics of coding from advanced peers.

The schedule for the day will be: 9:00am - Doors Open 9:30am - Opening Ceremony 10:00am - Hacking Begins 10:45am - Workshop Intro to Coding Begins 12:30pm - Lunch 2:30pm - Intro to Coding Ends 6:30pm - Dinner Served 7:00pm - Judges Meeting 7:30pm - Hacking Ends 7:45pm - Presentations Begin 8:30pm - Awards Ceremony
