Claire was working in Supply Chain Management, before deciding on a career change in 2019. After completing an intro to programming course at General Assembly, she then completed the Software Engineering Immersive and worked as a Teaching Assistant with the following cohort. Since then, Claire has worked as a Software Engineer for Hullabalook, as well as spending some time as an Instructor for Code First Girls and a Teaching Assistant for Code Your Future.
Aneesa is a biochemistry graduate who decided to pursue software engineering as a career. She taught herself how to code and join a BootCamp to further improve her knowledge in the industry and make connections. After completing the course, she joined Findmypast to work as an engineer in a cross-functional team, working closely with business and other teams.
Yemi is a software engineer at Cazoo. He made the transition into software engineering ~3 years ago when he joined Makers Academy (a 16-week coding boot camp). Yemi started his career as a front-end engineer, working on a greenfield project for ClearScore. Yemi has since joined Cazoo as a full-stack engineer, where he helps write and maintain code for customers to buy and sell used cars.
Maher got his software engineering degree from Alexandria University in Egypt in 2007. He founded two startups in Egypt before moving to the UK in 2018 to join Amazon as a Software Engineer. He was working on the Prime Video app for Living room devices for 3.5 years. After that, he joined Google to work for Google Health where he is building a software for clinicians to help them understand their patients better and faster.
