About This Class

JavaScript is used primarily for front-end interactions on websites—at least, that’s how we all know of it. But in addition to making elements animate and enhance user experience, powerful data visualization libraries exist to create rich, engaging, and dynamic visualizations that have traditionally been done via static spreadsheets, charts, and graphs. This online class is meant for beginners who have some exposure to JavaScript or other programming languages. We’ll cover basic JavaScript syntax, data structures and how they relate to your data modeling, and an introduction to data visualization libraries. Please note we will not cover in-depth data science topics; rather, the focus will be how to use dynamic data for a broad audience, including stakeholders for executive summaries.
