About this event

Design anthropologist Mike Youngblood suggests a radical approach to imagining who users are, turning the typical mental model on its head. An understanding of our users stimulates our imagination and helps us create more exciting, effective design solutions. But, according to Mike, we have a problem: our basic conception of “the User” is outdated and flawed. In this talk, he will question some of the most fundamental conventions about how we in the design world think about users, what they experience, and the multiplicity of ways that we can design for them.

After Mike’s talk, stay to enjoy light refreshments and soak in the energy boost that is guaranteed to ignite new ideas.

In/Visible Talks, in collaboration with General Assembly, is hosting this event to explore an evolving role of the creative process plays in our work and in our lives.
