Sketch is an outstanding design tool that is fast, easy to use, and a great alternative to Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and XD. This design program is cutting edge and empowers users in the fields of visual design, user interface design (UI), and user experience design (UX) to quickly create website mockups with clickable prototypes, all within one program.
This one evening class will help designers become quickly accustomed to the benefits of using Sketch. We will learn the software basics, how to work with key tools, and review some basic work flows for UI and UX design.
You will hit the ground running creating and efficiently working with art-boards, text and typography design, object styles, symbols, and vector drawing for icons, symbols and logos. Lastly, we will use Sketch’s powerful and smart export features to create SVGs, PNGs, JPEGs, and even PDFs.
Users should be reasonably accustomed to the OS X operating system and navigate their computer at a reasonable speed. Participants will need to have a demo version of Sketch, which can be downloaded from www.sketchapp.com (good for 30 days from the time of download), or be running a version of Sketch that is no more than a year old from the date of the class.
