About this workshop

PHP is a scripting language designed for web development, and has been in used in countless applications; in this beginner class, we will review programming fundamentals through the lens of PHP, and look at how PHP can be used to act as a back-end for web forms.

Takeaways

By the end of the class, students will be able to:

  • Execute basic PHP commands
  • Write their own PHP functions
  • Build forms that use a PHP back-end

Prereqs & Preparation

Experience with HTML and CSS is helpful but not required. In addition, some familiarity with programming fundamentals like variables and conditional statements is beneficial. However, this will not be an advanced class.
