About this workshop

People think in Pictures. Graphic Recording (aka "Scribing") is the process of listening to a speaker and taking live visual notes, while they talk. You can do this in meetings, workshops, conferences, classrooms, or just for yourself. The goal is to create a visual summary of the content, filtering through all the noise to tell the story of the key messages. In other words, to literally draw the "Big Picture". As this workshop is only an hour long, it's no way comprehensive...instead, it's a relaxed conversation full of tips & tricks, for anyone just beginning their GR journey!

Note: If you prefer working digitally bring an iPadPro with Apple Pencil and Procreate already loaded, but the focus will be on analog processes.

Takeaways

  • Set-Up: What materials you need to get ready...
  • Tune-in: How to think about listening/filtering content as you go
  • Some quick drawing and typography/"font" tips
  • Q&A: working live...

Prereqs & Preparation

Any prerequisites? just curiosity... Some drawing experience is a nice bonus, but definitely NOT necessary! (This is really about ideas, not just pictures).
