About this workshop

Games and game mechanics are becoming ubiquitous in our culture as they flow onto our computers, TVs, tablets and phones. Whether you are creating a traditional game or a consumer-facing software product, it is more important than ever to be able to create a great experience. The art and science of game design is driven by creative problem solving, but how do you know where to start?

This class will blend game design theory with practical 2D level design skills. Through the instructor’s lens of game design as a communication between player and designer; participants will actualize their own design ideas and trade feedback with other students.
