Discover how design shapes our online experiences.

Step into the world of user experience design with General Assembly. During our introductory workshop, explore the decision-making process that dictates how users interact with digital products and see why businesses of all stripes have put out the call for UX talent. Plus:

  • Define User Experience and how it impacts a business’ customers.
  • Understand the general UX design process.
  • Identify how to understand users through interviewing.
  • Interview classmates using UX interview tactics.
  • Identify wireframe elements and practice sketching wireframes.
  • Learn about the industry and common types of roles in UX Design.

About the Instructor

UX Educator, Researcher, and Discovery Workshop Facilitator

Brittney (BP) is a UX educator, researcher, and discover workshop facilitator. Recently her research work has been in the kid-tech space. She, in the last year, has led educational and discovery workshops for the International Youth Foundation, Partnership for a Healthier America, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Creative Science Labs, and Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation. She has 15+ years of experience in customer service and prior to shifting into UX held leadership roles at both Nordstrom and SoulCycle.

As an educator, BP uses listening techniques to find out the students individual needs and provides them with tools to put into immediate action. She loves interactive learning environments and is passionate about spreading the importance of UX across every human touch point of a business.

In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, BP has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

BP is a graduate of General Assembly's immersive program. She loves to share her experiences and help other build the life they want to live. Come join!
