Social media initiatives don’t start when you register a Facebook or Twitter account and start posting announcements, it begins much sooner. In this workshop, you’ll be taken through how to understand social media platforms and learn how to develop and implement an actionable social media strategy. You’ll learn how to structure your social media efforts, captivate your audience on each social media platform, and build brand awareness, loyalty, and sales.

Karen P’ng is a freelance strategist and consultant specialising in social media, digital marketing and content strategy. Having previously worked at Australia’s largest online retailer for 4.5 years, Karen turned to a full-time freelance role to help SMEs and established brands grow with structure and strategy. From fashion and furniture, to finance, she has worked with a range of clients including THE ICONIC, BrickX, Brosa, Weatherzone, and Escrow.com. Karen holds a BA from Queensland University of Technology but believes that most of her skills and expertise came from her experiences of learning on the job and consistent up-skilling through short courses.
