About this workshop

Natural Language Processing, or NLP, is an exciting and rapidly growing sub-field of data science and AI that deals with the interaction between computers and humans using the natural language. The ultimate objective of NLP is to read, decipher, understand, and make sense of the human languages in a manner that is valuable. NLP is the driving force behind common applications for Google Translate, Microsoft Word, Grammarly, Siri and Alexa. Traditionally, only a programmer can get a computer to perform an action through codes. With rapid digital transformation, computers are no longer being used only programmers; there is a need for computers to understand humans via their natural language commands instead of only through codes. Modern business are exploiting NLP to have computers automate regular and boring tasks, understand and search through large corpus of text and even respond to increasing their customer queries.
