About this class

Neural Networks can translate between different languages, win poker games, play Atari and even drive cars! In the last few years, thanks to advancements in computation and theory, we've seen more and more companies develop AI systems with Deep Learning at the core.

In this intro class, you'll develop an understanding of what deep learning is and what frameworks exist for building your own networks. You'll also learn what network architectures are used to solve different types of problems and walk away with practical tools to start practising at home.

Join us if you're a budding data scientist, AI enthusiast or just an all-round tech junkie!

Takeaways

Students will learn:

  • What technology is used for Deep Learning
  • Which types of problems are best suited for Neural Networks and which architecture to consider
  • How to use Generative Neural Networks to make art
  • How to detect objects in images with Convolutional Neural Networks

Prereqs & Preparation

None for the class, but skills in Python or a background in machine learning package are needed to complete the practical exercises given for learning in your own time.
