About this class

The Intermediate Excel: Formula and Functions workshop is designed for students who have mastered the material from the Excel at Excel workshop and are looking to build upon those skills. Given that there lacks an enforceable prerequisite, the workshop does review a few topics from the Excel at Excel workshop, including conditional math functions and basic reference functions, to ensure that all participants have the basic knowledge needed for the advance topics. Participants will learn specialized functions and how to combine functions to achieve more advance tasks. Additionally, the workshop covers some more advance options in charts. Students that benefit the most are those looking to be more efficient with Excel

Prereqs & Preparation

Recommended: Excel at Excel: Getting Down the Basics

Students should have a general familiarity with Excel, including knowing how to navigate a spreadsheet, and how to copy & paste. Please bring a laptop with Microsoft Office installed (Office 2007, 2010, or 2013 on a PC recommended, Excel 2011 on a Mac acceptable). The instructor will be using a PC, however all functions/features will work on a Mac. It is also highly recommended that you bring a mouse. Students will also be emailed case study files prior to class that they should download to their desktop. This is an interactive class, and your participation and questions are encouraged.
