If you have the basics of Excel down, and you want to start taking your knowledge to the next level, then this class is for you. In this class — ideal for people working in business, management, or simply interested in getting more organized — you’ll learn how to create Pivot Tables, improve your charts, and apply intermediate functions & formulas such as VLookup, If, and Sumif. This class will give you the tools to be a more desirable job candidate and a more productive worker.

Recommended but not required:

• Excel at Excel: Getting Down the Basics Class

Students should have a general familiarity with Excel, including knowing how to navigate a spreadsheet, and how to copy & paste. Please bring a laptop with Microsoft Office installed (Office 2007, 2010, or 2013 on a PC recommended, Excel 2011 on a Mac acceptable). The instructor will be using a PC, however all functions/features will work on a Mac. It is also highly recommended that you bring a mouse. This is an interactive class, and your participation and questions are encouraged.

Adam Russell has nearly 20 years of Microsoft Excel experience developed during a career as an insurance product management consultant and actuarial analyst. He left the corporate world in 2016 to embark on a new career as an Excel trainer, consultant, and freelance writer. Adam has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and earned his MBA from Pepperdine University in 2012 with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. In his spare time Adam enjoys training for half-marathons and triathlons.
