About This Workshop
Starting or growing your consulting business is challenging, but it doesn't have to be confusing. During this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to apply the 5 Pillars of Consulting Success to your business. It doesn't matter if you haven’t started, or have been consulting for years, this class is all about how you can package and price the services you provide, and how to attract your audience in a way that doesn't feel salesy or desperate.
Whether you're doing this as a side gig, or working with enterprise-level organizations, you’ll be able to confidently connect with and pitch your services, even in a competitive environment. You’ll also learn how to spend more time in your Zone of Genius - and less time doing administrative tasks - through the use of various tools and resources.
With a focus on scaling; you’ll discover how to generate revenue outside of coaching or consulting, including online courses and paid speaking gigs.
General Assembly’s classes, workshops & events are for recreational purposes and are not regulated by the bureau of proprietary school supervision.
If this class is recorded, students will be sent the recording link within 7 days after class completion by email. Students are encouraged to download and save any shared materials (worksheets, deck if applicable) during class for later reference as they are not be shared by email.

Preparation
- You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.
- This class will occur completely online using Zoom.
- Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.
- Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket

As the Marketing Expert-in-Residence at Entrepreneur magazine, he provides need to know information through his work as a VIP contributor. He's also the author of the upcoming book Start Your Own Consulting Business: Your Step-By-Step Guide to Success, published by Entrepreneur Media.
An engaging and informative presenter, Terry has been a featured speaker at industry events including Social Media Week and SXSW. He also serves as a startup mentor at organizations including Amazon, Techstars and the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute.
