About This Event

In our ‘always busy’ workplace culture, it is important for a leader to understand how to manage stress within your team.

One way of quickly tackling this problem is the popular use of mindfulness in the workplace.

But what is mindfulness? What benefits does it bring to our being? How can it be used in the workplace environment to reduce stress within our demanding jobs?

In this panel discussion, we will explore different mindfulness tools that can help us to stay present, resourceful, resilient and manage stress-allowing us to enhance a purposeful working life to set ourselves up for success to achieve our goals more effectively.

About the Instructors

Omar has a proven track record of venture development and investment through a variety of sectors, including education, property and professional services. Most recently Omar’s focus has been on education and the entrepreneurial eco-system of Australia. In 2014–15, working with education startup Ducere, Omar developed and launched Australia’s first degrees in Applied Entrepreneurship and Applied Social Entrepreneurship, which gave students the chance to build their own businesses with every assignment. In 2015 Omar became an ambassador of the G20 Global Entrepreneurship Week and in 2016 is working as a Sherpa with the G20 Australian Young Entrepreneur Alliance. Omar continues to work closely with the board of The Snowdome Foundation (a preeminent blood cancer charity), is on the senior committee of his childhood cricket club and serves as an advisor to many burgeoning start-up organisations and entrepreneurs.

Emma Udorovic is the co-founder and "Chief Dreamer" of Twosix Wellness, the experts in workplace wellbeing and holistic living.
Having worked for over 5 years as an Event Manager inside large corporate organisations Emma knows that when stress is high, your health is the first thing that drops from your priority list. With a background in personal training and gymnastic coaching, Emma understood the importance of prioritising health and wellbeing. She began to explore ways to integrate these practices into her corporate life and became an advocate for wellness at work. Building on her existing knowledge, she completed a Pilates instructor course in 2012 and began teaching classes in the workplace.
Energetic, down to earth and a Mum to little boy, Levi, Emma is extremely passionate about teaching others how to integrate wellness into their everyday lives. She is a living example of how simple wellness-focused actions can build a healthier and happier life. Emma prides herself on living a life of "balance". She spends her time working out, laughing with friends, caring for her son Levi and enjoying time with her family whilst creating Workplace Wellness plans with her partner in crime, Bree.

Cultural Architect and Integrative Performance Facilitator

Al Jeffery is a cultural-architect, integrative performance facilitator, and international speaker. With his book, Modern Tribe as the basis for his work, he works with entrepreneurs and teams to cultivate cultures of connectedness, group-flow and wellbeing. Starting his entrepreneurial journey at 12 and having been listed in Australia's Top 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs twice in a row, and as a mindfulness and performance coach, Al merges these two worlds of business and wellbeing. He’s worked with teams at the likes of Apple, Google Australia, AusPost, Bendigo Bank and more facilitating offsite retreats and leadership programs to enhance team performance.
