Richie is a creative director working across brand, digital strategy and UX/UI design.
An English literature graduate and lover of words, for many years he worked as a copywriter, carefully crafting compelling compositions and abusing alliteration as often as he could.
He sidelines in journalism, writing and presenting on media, culture, arts and entertainment for mUmBrella, Campaign Brief, The Vine, Broadsheet, Desktop, The List, Beat, Inpress Magazine and more.
Richie is a supporter of grass roots design and creative. He runs 'A Brief Night', a design event series for students, grads and juniors started in 2014, as well as the spin-off annual event 'A Big Brief Night' which he runs in association with AGDA, The Design Kids and Melbourne International Design Week.
He is a regular guest speaker on a wide range of topics spanning the design and digital industries including appearances, talks and presentations for RMIT University, AGDA, Design Institute of Australia, Billy Blue College of Design, The Academy of Design, Tractor Design School and General Assembly, where he also runs a digital project management and UX workshop series.
For the past 3 years he has been a judge and mentor for the DIA’s Graduate of the Year Award and is the 2016 Secretary for the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) Victorian council.
