About the Instructor

Weng Low Photo

Admissions Producer, General Assembly

Weng joined the General Assembly community as an Admissions Producer. He comes from a prior background in advertising and copywriting for the inflight magazine titles of Singapore Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines.

Passionate in further education, Weng has did three different overseas experiences in his undergraduate study as a way to experience different education systems, cultures and learnings. Roles that excite Weng centres on community action and individual development. This has led him to take up a 6-month long volunteering stint with Student Action for Refugees, helping young immigrant children in London acclimatise to their new surroundings.

Outside of General Assembly, Weng is an extremely avid runner. You will find him either honing his communication skills or overdosing on caffeine over the weekends.

Program Manager, Coda Payments

I'm currently a Program Manager at Coda Payments. I'm currently building a B2B platform to help Publishers extend their reach and Distributors get access to digital content.

I started my career as a financial advisor and took the leap of faith to venture into the uncertain world of startups. Started with MoneySmart, Prudential and now Coda. I'm constantly learning to be a Product Manager. In school, I'm known to be a troublemaker but now I embrace that by helping companies build better products.

I am a father of 3, I love reading, music and karting!

Nirusha Shetty Photo

Lead Product Manager, Grab

Nirusha is currently a product manager at Grab. She has always been part of the technology space having studied computer science as an undergrad, followed by a stint as a software engineer, data analyst and strategy consultant in global companies such as Boston Consulting Group, Apple and Bosch. She believes her varied experience in other key roles in tech has equipped her to be an effective product manager. In her free time, she loves reading, practising yoga and going on a long treks.

Product Manager, Bluethumb

I’ve recently made the transition into product management at Bluethumb, where I’m helping to build out and grow their new fine art NFT platform. Throughout my career, I've spent time in a variety of creative industries — from working in the art department on some indie films, to leading community and content strategy for blockchain-based games, to being a client lead and growth marketer at an agency.

Everyone’s journey into product management is different, and I believe that diverse past experiences help product managers to bring unique perspectives and strengths to their teams.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing games and music!
