About This Workshop

This is the final class in our 3 part series on Google Analytics. Keen to learn more? Check out Part 1: Getting Started with Google Analytics and Part 2: Generating Actionable Insights.

Google Analytics is used by half of websites today, though most organisations aren't getting enough insight out of the web analytics tool.

In this class, you'll develop an advanced understanding of Google Analytics as an analytical and marketing tool to enhance your marketing strategy. You'll get an understanding of customising Google Analytics to your needs and how to execute complicated tasks for sophisticated results.

Preparation

  • Participants should have comprehensive experience with Google Analytics, or have attended GA's Generating Actionable Insights with Google Analytics workshop.
  • Bring your laptop to class
  • You'll need to already have access to a Google Account (any Gmail account is also a Google account), and we'll set up a new test account in class

Tim is a Digital Marketing and Communications Consultant with over 10 years' experience running marketing campaigns and digital projects for clients in a number of industries, including education, IT security, banking, construction, retail, health care and professional services.

Tim has broad digital experience working across a wide range of functional areas including search, email, social, web, content, strategy, analytics and conversion optimisation.

While living in Cambodia and Malawi, Tim co-founded tools4dev, a free source of templates, reviews and how-to guides for international development and aid workers that focuses on practical advice.

Tim loves meeting new people and learning new things, leading him to be an organiser for TEDx events while living in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Lilongwe (Malawi). He was also an organiser for Nerd Night in Phnom Penh, a fortnightly event for sharing nerdy passions in the Pecha Kucha format (20 slides, 20 seconds each slide).
