About This Workshop

Google Analytics is the most commonly used web analytics tool in the world today. Though by only using the default settings, most users aren’t utilising the platform to its fullest extent.

Having a detailed understanding of Google Analytics gives you the ability to create accurate reports, extract insights from data, and effectively track, manage, and attribute ROI for your marketing campaigns.

In this 6-hour bootcamp, you’ll learn how to take full advantage of the Google Analytics platform. You’ll get an overview of the best ways to properly set up and manage your account, increase the quality of the data you collect, and conduct tests to improve conversion rates.

Good things come to those who learn - GA. This Bootcamp is part of our Holiday Bootcamp series designed for you to make the most of the holiday period. There will be lunch provided and a Happy Hour after class with GA Students, Staff and Bootcampers!

  • General familiarity with the Google Analytics platform
  • Bring a laptop
  • Access to a Google Analytics account for your company or website (if you do not have admin access to at least one account, please contact General Assembly)
  • Optional: Access to Google Search Console (formerly called Webmaster Tools) and / or Google AdWords

About the Instructor

Digital Marketing Consultant

Tim is a Digital Marketing and Communications Consultant with over 10 years' experience running marketing campaigns and digital projects for clients in a number of industries, including education, IT security, banking, construction, retail, health care and professional services.

Tim has broad digital experience working across a wide range of functional areas including search, email, social, web, content, strategy, analytics and conversion optimisation.

While living in Cambodia and Malawi, Tim co-founded tools4dev, a free source of templates, reviews and how-to guides for international development and aid workers that focuses on practical advice.

Tim loves meeting new people and learning new things, leading him to be an organiser for TEDx events while living in Phnom Penh (Cambodia) and Lilongwe (Malawi). He was also an organiser for Nerd Night in Phnom Penh, a fortnightly event for sharing nerdy passions in the Pecha Kucha format (20 slides, 20 seconds each slide).

Retuning to Sydney, Tim joined the organiser team for The Digital Marketing Connection, a free monthly Meetup group that hosts practical talks on digital marketing.
