As young people from Gen Z explore their career interests and prepare to enter the workforce alongside millennials currently early in their careers, it is crucial that workforce programs and policymakers understand and support young people by building a base of foundational skills that include digital fluency, communication, and information gathering.

Join the NYC Employment and Training Coalition, in partnership with General Assembly, for a conversation with employers, training organizations, and thought leaders on the changing role of technology within the world of work and the expanding need for foundational digital and career readiness skills among young jobseekers of today. The panel conversation will explore issues of automation and its impact on entry and mid-level jobs, the rising minimum wage, and hiring strategies targeted at young workers.
