From products to startups, everyone has ideas. Where they struggle is doing something with those ideas. In this workshop we’ll dive into the four stages of turning your idea into a product: identifying and validating problems, brainstorming and testing solutions, designing and prototyping, and finally pitching your product. The goal is to walk away with a workable product that you can build yourself or submit to Quirky.
Learn how to develop problem hypotheses and test their validity and broad appeal.
Engage in brainstorming best practices to assemble a host of potential solutions and test them to find best solution possible.
Learn how to sketch and storyboard your idea to establish use cases and value-statements.
Craft a compelling pitch and confidently present it to the class.
End the evening with a bona fide invention.
Come with a problem you face everyday that you can realistically a solution to during tonight’s session. Bring your computer, a notebook, and a ballpoint pen. Familiarize yourself with the Quirky process
