Are you a veteran or in a military family? Are you considering a career change into the tech field and curious about the offerings at General Assembly? Making the decision to transition your career can be scary. Trying to understand your options can be overwhelming, especially if you're new to tech. If you're curious about your options and ways that you can take that next step, please join us for this livestream. During this virtual session, you'll meet Terry Kemp, an Army veteran and General Assembly alum who has made a career transition to a remote role as a Software Engineer.

In this livestream, you will:

  • Hear about Terry's life after the Army and his decision to transition into the tech field
  • Learn about Terry's experience in the Web Development Immersive program and in his job search
  • Hear about life as a developer and in a fully remote role
  • Discover General Assembly's immersive offerings (Web Development, Data Science, and User Experience Design) and outcomes program
  • Learn about ways that you can fund our programs, including how to use your GI Bill
  • Debunk myths about a career in tech

Prereqs & Preparation

  • This will take place virtually, so you will need a computer with a strong internet connection.
