About this class

A physical or digital folio enables a design/media students or professionals to collate and showcase their work for interviews, networking and celebration. Knowing how to create a high quality folio that concisely informs, captivates and tells a story about the skills and history that an individual has can make a world of difference (and is often required for interviews!)

The class will cover the utilisation of design principals and methods to structure and collate a range of projects. This, coupled with a small narrative backbone will enable a better understanding of how to show off work for a range of contexts.

There will be a mix of takeaways that are offered at a general and (smaller) individual level, which can both immediately assist in creating a strong folio (Structure, diversity of work) and to enable better persistent application to improve existing folios (The folio that can always be improved upon).

Takeaways

Students will learn:

  • Anyone can rapidly produce and convey Ideas
  • Applying a little confidence can enable better reception of ideas
  • Using the above techniques in future work can continue to enable improvement
