About this workshop

The process of applying for a home loan can seem daunting and overwhelming, so you’ve chosen to rent for years. But the truth is you’re still paying for someone’s mortgage - it might as well be your own. Owning a home is a great investment and can change your financial future.

In this workshop you’ll learn about how to become pre-approved for a home loan, what kind of mortgage loan options are available and what are the differences between those options. We’ll explore what the loan process is like, including what documents are needed for a mortgage application. We’ll discuss credit – bad credit vs. good credit and the basics on how to maintain a “good credit score.” We’ll finish with correcting the myths around such topics as down payment requirements, the Cost of Waiting, Renting vs. Owning, interest rates and the general housing market.
