Facebook is a juggernaut with over 1.44 billion monthly active users in Q1 2015. In this workshop, you will get insights and practical lessons from the field and you’ll learn how to make the most of Facebook advertising. We’ll focus on highly specific hacks that will help you cut through the noise and acquire new users to grow your business. From the anatomy of a high-converting ad to optimization tips to suggested resources, you’ll come out of this workshop knowing a more clever and effective way to run Facebook ads.

Preparation

Basic technical aptitude and orientation to computers, and curiosity to learn new tools.

  • This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack
  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection
  • Pre-work and course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course - launches
  • Each individual course participant must have purchased a ticket

Sharon Lee Thony is co-founder and CEO of STK MKT Entertainment, marketing executive, digital marketing instructor and mom of two boys and a dog, with almost two decades of experience creating award-winning marketing campaigns for travel, beauty and luxury lifestyle brands.

Sharon started as an account executive at top advertising agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi and McCann-Erickson, working directly with client brands like P&G, Unilever, Mastercard, and Johnson & Johnson. She later joined Unilever marketing to work on personal care brands like Caress, Lever 2000, Q-tips, Axe, Dove, Snuggle, and Wisk. She led marketing teams in the non-profit sector at the Girl Scouts of the USA and Lumberyard, as well as luxury hotel brands like COMO Hotels & Resorts, Triumph Hotels and Le Soleil d'Or.

Sharon is a veteran digital marketing instructor and curriculum product advisor at General Assembly, having taught over 100+ classes and workshops with us. She privately coaches and consults with select clients and has earned a BA from NYU and an MBA from The Wharton School.

Sharon serves as a member of the General Assembly Digital Marketing Product Advisory Board.

In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Sharon has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
