About This Class

For most professionals, the ability to organize information is quickly becoming a fundamental part of the job description. Whether you already consider yourself an expert or are just getting started with spreadsheets, this hands-on workshop will allow you to take your skills to the next level and become a “power” user.

We’ll start with the absolute basics, and quickly move on to lesser known shortcuts, functions, and features that you will be able to immediately put to use on the job. You will build confidence in your basic excel skills and gain knowledge of other useful/impressive Excel features.

Alex Blyakhman, CMA, CIA, CBIP is Analytics Director with iCrossing, a digital advertising agency. His professional experience spans various information technology and finance roles across manufacturing, telecommunications, and retail verticals. His own consulting practice, Excel Strategies, LLC serves the needs of small business owners since 2009, and his work involves helping companies ranging in size from mom and pop operations to Fortune 50 multi-nationals. His teaching experience includes continuing education classes at Henry Ford Community College, Macomb Community College, Illinois District 214 and other institutions. Alex aims to help students master various software tools and features to boost their productivity and quality of work. As a lifelong student himself, who pursues various professional certifications as a hobby, Alex enjoys sharing his knowledge and exchanging ideas with his students. He instills creativity into his problem-solving approach, enabling students answer questions they never knew they had.
