About this workshop series

This one day course has been designed in response to the most frequently asked questions from new managers. Created for new managers, managers who are keen to brush up on the basics and managers who have been awarded a team due to a promotion.

This course is designed on ace-ing the fundamentals so any manager can walk away with a tool-kit to then personalise for their team. Please note this course has a strong focus on personal accountability for managers and curating that expectation in their team.

We will cover:

  • My Management Fundamentals: get clarity on what success looks like in your role, the job of your team and what your manager expects of you.
  • Meeting Hacks: learn how to set up efficient WIP's are focussed on outcomes and be able to delegate side conversations. 1:1's templates designed to encourage personal accountability.
  • Cultural Norms: get clear on what's important to you and what you expect of your team in behaviours.
  • What To Say: learn how to have succinct, constructive and boundaried conversations to promote personal accountability and positive action.
  • Extracting Greatness: get the fundamentals right, then grow your people. Outline your team's competencies, strengths and personal goals.
  • Self Management: learn techniques for outsourcing frustration and how to move that into constructive action at work and appropriate responses when under the pump.
