About This Workshop

This bootcamp is designed to help you develop the skill, confidence and mindset to devise and implement an e-commerce strategy that works for your business, your clients and everything else in between.

We’ll be taking a straightforward approach to e-commerce, and how it all survives and thrives as part of the digital landscape. You can expect to be working, building, thinking and presenting collaboratively all day. Your goal is to take an e-commerce idea through the paces of the value proposition, business model and customer experience delivery. And present it back to the group!

Takeaways

Specifically we’ll be doing all of these together, as a team:

  • Getting to grips with the shape and form of the e-commerce landscape
  • Building a value proposition for an e-commerce business
  • Developing a business platform that ensures your success
  • Mocking up elements of your store, in lo-fi or hi, you have the choice
  • Becoming acquainted with the basics of product delivery, aka digital marketing
  • Understanding how orders are fulfilled and customers retained
  • Explaining your success or failure, with data driven answers
  • Collaborating on up to ten activities throughout the day – so bring your e-commerce enthusiasm (and your laptop)

Prereqs & Preparation

  • Open to all levels. Have an idea for a e-commerce business, digital landscape or a product to focus on for development
  • Please bring a laptop

About the Instructor

Brand Strategist

Aiden is an award winning brand strategist, with more than a few successful brands in the portfolio. He believes that brands live and die on their presence; and has convinced some very recognisable clients and agencies over the past 12 years that this is the case.

He was responsible for the community and automated efforts of Team GB through the London 2012 Olympics. He advises numerous brands, from HSBC to WPP, on the integrated implications of marketing and digital; as well the opportunities that automation presents in the digital space.

His work appears in multiple publications – from The Independent to The San Francisco Chronicle - and he talks and trains constantly, mainly in London and New York for Squared Online, IDM, General Assembly, Google and Adobe.
