About this workshop

Having purpose is fundamental to cultivating a meaningful life because it connects you to your raisons d'être, things that matter deeply to you and give your life direction. People who feel connected to purpose report higher levels of psychological well-being, flourishing, hope, resilience and life satisfaction. Founded at Stanford University’s d.school, Project Wayfinder designs curricula to guide people toward building lives of purpose and meaning.

Project Wayfinder's 4.5-hour workshop offers a deep dive into our research-backed, purpose frameworks to guide you toward a lifelong journey of proactive purpose building. The workshop consists of four sessions:

  1. Unearthing Values: Excavate and define your core values and design a set of practices that will support you in embodying a values driven life.
  2. Nurturing Strengths: Identify strengths and skills you already have and ones you could develop that will help you build purpose in your life.
  3. Diving for Why: Engage in a process of self-inquiry to uncover the bedrock beliefs driving what you care about in the world.
  4. Purpose Compass: Experiment with our evidence-based process for generating purposeful projects that integrate your core values, strengths, and your ‘why’. Leave with clear, actionable steps to infuse more purpose into your work and personal life.
