Julia Levy is the Founder of Why We Give, a community for ordinary philanthropists. She has over 10 years of experience in philanthropy as a fundraiser, grant maker and writer. She has taught courses at The Brooklyn Brainery. She tweets about here: @juliamlevy.

Maxwell is the Social Impact Manager at General Assembly, where he focuses on programs that enable affordable and accessible education, contribute to a diverse tech talent pipeline, and promote social mobility through careers in tech. Prior to GA, he was the Partnerships Manager at Purpose, a strategy consultancy and creative agency that works on progressive social issues, and the Senior Aide & Project Manager in the Office of Sean Eldridge and Chris Hughes, where he coordinated their political and nonprofit giving.

Sam Slaughter is the Vice President of Content at Contently, and the Chairman of the Contently Foundation, a non-profit that funds investigative reporting in the public interest. He's a long-time journalist whose written for The New York Times, Village Voice, and Mashable among others.

Sabrina is a Silicon Valley native who's lived in Peru, Haiti and Jordan. She has a Masters in Nonprofit Administration and has spent more than ten years working in international and domestic aid and development. More than anything, the proud American Filipersian (Filipino mom, Iranian dad) loves dance parties with her nieces and nephews and reliving her glory days as a competitive soccer player.
Partnerships & Events Manager,
Ombeline is the Partnerships & Events Manager at DonorsChoose.org, a crowdfunding platform for US public school teachers. In her current role, Ombeline develops and executes marketing partnerships focusing on leading campaigns that build DonorsChoose.org’s brand awareness and drive dollars to support classrooms. Prior to her work on marketing partnerships, Ombeline collected and analyzed data to help streamline corporate partnerships and guide the team’s prospecting and renewal strategy.
