About This Class

The digital landscape is moving at a lightning fast pace. Every industry has been affected by the advances in digital, from retailers to brands and agencies.

This class covers the fundamentals of digital marketing, and introduces you to the key channels, concepts and metrics. Grasp online marketing basics, get your head around the technical jargon and determine how and where your business fits into the digital world.

General Assembly’s classes, workshops & events are for recreational purposes and are not regulated by the bureau of proprietary school supervision.

If this class is recorded, students will be sent the recording link within 7 days after class completion by email. Students are encouraged to download and save any shared materials (worksheets, deck if applicable) during class for later reference as they are not be shared by email.

Preparation

  • You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection.

  • This class will occur completely online using Zoom.

  • Class setup information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your class launches.

  • Each individual class participant must have purchased a ticket

About the Instructor

Emily Seiman is a digital marketing veteran with 13 years of experience, spearheading revenue-generating digital and social innovation concepts for brands, major publishers, and influencers.

She is currently the Owner and Founder of Red Digital Media where she consults established companies and startups on digital strategies, content development and multi-channel campaign execution.

Emily has been teaching at General Assembly for over a year and is Certified in Google Adwords Search and Display, Google Analytics and HubSpot Inbound Marketing.

She is also an avid marathon runner and holds a Masters in Political Science from LIU C.W. Post.
